Anna Kyriazi is an Assistant Professor (Ricercatrice Tenure Track) at the Department of Social and Political Sciences, Università degli Studi di Milano. Her academic trajectory includes a Ph.D. from the European University Institute and postdoctoral fellowships at Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) and the University of Milan (as part of the ERC-funded SOLID project). Her research lies at the intersection of European integration, welfare state transformations, and transnational solidarity. She has contributed extensively to high-impact international journals such as West European Politics, Journal of European Public Policy, Social Policy and Administration, and Government and Opposition. She is the co-author of The Social Crisis of Europe (Routledge, 2024) and co-editor of the forthcoming volume Citizens Gone: How Emigration Transforms the European State (Manchester University Press).
